First In Families of NC Nondiscrimination Policy
First In Families of North Carolina:
- Promotes access, equity, and inclusiveness, and discourages discrimination that denies the essential humanity of all people.
- Believes that the performance of our organization is greatly enhanced when people with different backgrounds and perspectives are engaged in our organization's activities and decision-making.
- Does not knowingly support community initiatives and organizations that negatively discriminate on the basis of race, color, age, sex, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
- Defines "negative discrimination" to include (but not necessarily be limited to) denial of services, employment, membership, or volunteer opportunities to any class of individuals in a manner that negatively restricts opportunities to that class of individuals.
